This 2-day course is designed for project, program and portfolio managers that have been tasked with creating and managing master and subprojects programs and portfolios with Microsoft PPM. Ideally, students have attended our PPM for Project Managers course or have equivalent knowledge.

To ensure your success, we recommend you have some working knowledge of project, program and portfolio management as well as familiarity with Project and PWA.

Module 1: Getting started with Program and Portfolio Management

High-level overview of the portfolio capabilities and features available in Project Online.

Module 2: Creating and Managing Master & Sub-Projects

Working with master and subprojects including inserting a sub-project into a master project and how to maintain master and sub sites.

Module 3: Creating and Managing Business Drivers

Creating and managing business drivers including editing impact statements and departmentalizing business drivers.

Module 4: Creating & Managing Prioritizations

Create and manage prioritizations to assist with prioritizing proposals and proposed projects

Module 5: Creating and Managing Portfolio Analyses

Create and manage portfolio analysis, run “what-if” scenarios and commit approved projects.
